Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement is responsible for enforcing City ordinances related to High Grass and Weeds, Accumulation of Rubbish, Illegal Dumping, Dilapidated Structures, Junked Vehicles, Litter, and various other violations. Code Enforcement Officers responds to citizen requests and conducts proactive inspections to locate and clear code violations throughout the community.

Our mission is to enhance the level of public safety and city aesthetics through effective enforcement of city ordinances and voluntary compliance and to ensure due process for each citizen of Paris.

Code Enforcement Task Force

On July 23, 2007, the City Council of the City of Paris established the Code Enforcement Task Force to work with City Council Members and City Staff to study and make recommendations regarding street conditions, dilapidated housing, excessive outside storage, sanitation, and other code enforcement issues in the city of Paris.

The City Council appointed Council Members Will Biard, Don Wilson, and Steve Brown to serve on the Task Force, and each Council Member will appoint an individual from their district to serve.
