The City of Paris Emergency Medical Service brings the most modern pre-hospital care to the citizens of Paris and Lamar County. Since 1979, our dedicated EMS personnel have striven to give the best possible care to our patients with the support of the Lamar Delta Association of Physicians. 
Paris EMS is comprised of 23 professional Paramedics, 
8 part time EMT, 3 administration, and 45 medical reserves.

Together with a county wide first responder network, Paris EMS serves the City of Paris and all of Lamar County. The City of Paris EMS Department serves as host for various programs throughout Lamar County promoting the Think Child Safety program.  Paris EMS also offers CPR and Heartsaver AED for the public, in association with Paris Regional Medical Center and the American Heart Association.
