Duties of the Clerk

The City Clerk serves as the election administrator for all elections called by the City Council.

This office provides voting district information, applications for ballots by mail, and early voting location. Filing information and applications for candidates are also available in this department.

About Council Elections

The City of Paris has seven single-member districts.

Council Members are elected from District Numbers 1, 2, 3, and 6 in even-numbered years and for District Numbers 4, 5, and 7 in odd-numbered years.

City Council elections for the City of Paris are held the first Saturday in May of each year.

The members of the City Council shall serve not more than three two-year terms in succession.
