About the Children's Room


The Paris Public Library Children’s Room is dedicated to providing pre-kindergarten to middle school children access to the most current information, ideas, and activities through our extensive collection of books, e-books, virtual and in-person programs, databases and technologies. It is our goal to create an environment that fosters life-long readers and pursuers of knowledge with our collection of past Texas Bluebonnet Award winners and popular selections.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

On behalf of the 1,000 Books Foundation, we invite you to participate in this FREE program which encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he or she starts kindergarten. Reading logs are available in the Children's Room.
