Message From the Director

Hello Paris Texas!

It is such an honor to serve as your library director.

I come straight to you from Thailand where I was an English teacher for the past three years. The Thai culture and environmental geography was an amazing experience. Thai people are truly a beautiful spirit and loving culture.

I bring almost 22 years of library experience from St. Charles City-County Library District just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.  Being in Paris, is quite a charming town experience.

You live in a wonderful community and the library wants to become a part of your daily life.

My main goal is to provide equal access of library services for all of Paris.

A few things we have done for you-

  • Full access to our PC stations.  Anyone can use a PC!  Only an ID is needed.
  • We started a Kids Read Free- no fines on juvenile materials.
  • Your new library card now allows you to checkout 40 items right when you get the card.
  • We started a new 1,000 books before kindergarten.
  • We are looking into meeting room expansion.  Your library needs to bring together many people at one time.
  • We are creating a teen zone/ study area.
  • We are creating partnerships for new programming ideas.
  • We are bringing new volunteers together.
  • Our board games and digital table allows for family time on the go.
  • We are moving digital. We have ebooks and databases for education and recreational enjoyment.
  • We are creating more social media content.  Find us on FB and YouTube.

We are your public library!  Send me a note if you think we can do something amazing together.

I look forward to trying ideas and creating a place where everyone can enjoy their library.

Take care,
