The City of Paris uses several methods of providing information regarding emergencies to our residents. These services are also used for non-emergency notifications and general information sharing.
Suddenlink Communications, being a good community corporate neighbor, allows the City to use what is termed a "cable override" system. This system is used through Suddenlink equipment. When activated, regardless of what cable channel your television is on, the screen will turn red and a live message will be delivered over the audio speakers of the television set. Warnings, Amber Alerts, Silver Alerts, and local alerts are used on this system.
USES - The CodeRED system will be used to send critical communications, from evacuation notices to missing child alerts to water system outages.
Caller ID - When you see either of the following numbers displayed in your caller ID, you will know the call is from us. If you would like to hear the last message delivered to your phone, simply dial the number back.
Privacy - Your contact information remains private and will only be used for community notifications.
