What is the Texas Public Information Act (TPIA)?

The Texas Public Information Act provides that information in the possession of a governmental body is generally available to the public. Everyone has the fundamental right to know what his or her elected representatives and governmental bodies are doing.

How to File a TPIA Request

A request for Texas Public Information from the City of Paris can be submitted online, or a paper copy form picked up at the address below. Please include as much information as possible including name, address, daytime telephone number of the requester, and any supporting documents.  NOTE: The information requested will be supplied upon receipt of an interpretation that the information sought is not expressly prohibited by law. The City of Paris is prohibited from releasing some types of information and may seek an opinion from the Texas Attorney General for the release of other information.
